Workshop

Visual Storytelling and Human Rights with Ed Kashi

January 25—28, 2018
VII Photo Agency and Officine Fotografiche

VII Photo Agency and Officine Fotografiche are proud to present the VII Tutor Program, a collaborative project launching a study program focused on discovering new talents, stimulating visual languages that meet contemporary perspectives and transmitting the experiences and world views that have distinguished the two institutions in recent decades.

The VII Tutor Program will be divided into five cycles throughout the next two years and will be taught by five of the agency’s photographers. Each teaching cycle will be divided into two sessions of four days for about four months during which the students will have the opportunity to develop their projects. Throughout the four months of the initial session and the final one, participants will be able to avail themselves of one individual 30 min Skype call where they can evaluate the uncertainties and progress of their work with the teacher.

The first cycle will be directed by Ed Kashi, a member of VII since 2010.

He is a photojournalist and filmmaker that has always been actively involved in documenting important contemporary social and political issues. The first session is planned to start in January 2018, 25th/28th and the second in June 2018.

Application deadline: December, 1st.
